OVERVIEW

Designed for high-performance applications, Unicad Nickel Metal Hydride batteries can provide up to three times the capacity and energy density of its Nickel Cadmium equivalent. They find their optimum use in telecommunications, power tools, electric vehicles and other portable electronics which require high discharge rates. They can be rapidly charged and do not exhibit any memory effect. Also known as the green batteries, Ni-MH are environmentally safe and non-hazardous.

Can be recharged for up to 500-1000 cycles. (based on IEC charge/discharge specs.)
Low cell impedance delivers fairly stable discharge voltage over a wide range of discharge current.
No memory effect
Can deliver high discharge rate currents up to many times their capacity.
Low self-discharge rate and long shelf-life
Can be ‘Fast’ and ‘Rapid’ charged in 1-2 hours (with use of special chargers)
Can be operated through extreme charge and discharge cycle.
Wide range of operating temperature -20ºC to +50ºC (charging temperature varies)
Over-pressure valve design control cell pressure for increased safety.
Available in sealed cylindrical, prismatic and button-cell construction.
Cadmium and lead-free makes them environment-friendly and ideal for environment sensitive applications.
