Hydride batteries can provide up to three times the capacity and energy
density of its Nickel Cadmium equivalent. They find their optimum use in
telecommunications, power tools, electric vehicles and other portable
electronics which require high discharge rates. They can be rapidly
charged and do not exhibit any memory effect. Also known as the green
batteries, Ni-MH are environmentally safe and non-hazardous.
